Having become the first Asian to win the Faldo Series Europe Girls’ title, Liu Yi-Chen will have the equivalent Faldo Series Asia Girls’ title in her sights when she tees off in the Faldo Series Chinese Taipei Championship at Sunrise Golf and Country Club on December 16-17.
頂著首位亞洲選手獲得佛度盃歐洲區總決賽女子冠軍的頭銜，劉依貞將參加12月16-17日在揚昇高爾夫鄉村俱樂部舉行的佛度盃台灣區錦標賽，並期待再度勝出以爭取角逐亞洲區總決賽的女子組后冠。
Inspired by her compatriot and three-time Major winner Tseng Ya-Ni, a Faldo Series winner herself before advancing to the LPGA Tour, 17 year-old Liu of Chinese Taipei made history in September by claiming the Girls’ title in the 14th Faldo Series Europe Grand Final at the Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland.
已贏得三次大賽冠軍的台灣之光曾雅妮，在進入LPGA 之前也曾是佛度盃的冠軍得主。受到雅妮的鼓舞，現年17歲的劉依貞在今年9月改寫了佛度盃歷史，於北愛爾蘭厄恩湖球場拿下第14屆歐洲區總決賽女子組冠軍。
Known by her friends and family as ‘Babe’, Liu qualified for the Faldo Series Europe showpiece event courtesy of her win in the Girls’ Under-16 division at the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final at Mission Hills in China March. However the teenager from Taoyuan is now targeting a return to Mission Hills so she can perhaps go one better and claim the Faldo Series Asia overall Girls’ title as well.
被親朋好友暱稱為’寶貝’的劉依貞，是在今年3月份於中國觀瀾湖舉行的佛度盃亞洲區總決賽贏得女子16歲分組冠軍，因而取得參加歐洲區總決賽的資格。目前居住在桃園的劉依貞希望能再度造訪觀瀾湖，並期待也能同時奪下亞洲區女子組的冠軍。
Competitors in the fifth edition of the Chinese Taipei Championship will be divided into five age categories, three for boys (Under-21, Under-18 and Under-16) and two for girls (Under-21 and Under-16), and the winner of each category will qualify for the fifth Faldo Series Asia Grand Final, an R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking event hosted by Sir Nick Faldo at Mission Hills in March 2011.
台灣區錦標賽今年已邁入第五屆，將分為五個年齡組別：男子21歲以下，男子18歲以下，男子16歲以下，女子21歲以下，和女子16組以下組。各分組冠軍將取得2011年3月赴觀瀾湖參加第五屆佛度盃亞洲區總決賽的資格。此賽事由尼克佛度主辦並納入R&A世界業餘排名。
Underwritten by the six-time Major winner himself, the Faldo Series Asia is supported by major partners ISPS, Mission Hills and The R&A, together with official golf wear partner UFL and official equipment supplier TaylorMade. It is endorsed by the Asian Tour and the Asia Pacific Golf Federation (APGC).

Further to the success of the Faldo Series Europe, launched in 1996, the Faldo Series Asia was established in 2006 to help develop the region’s next generation of champions. Over 30 Faldo Series tournaments now take place in more than 25 countries across the UK, Europe, South America, the Middle East and Asia and former winners include Tseng, Rory McIlroy, Nick Dougherty, Marc Warren, John Parry, Melissa Reid and Florentyna Parker, all of whom have since won on Tour.
佛度盃歐洲區系列賽創始於1996年，在累積10年成功經驗後，於2006年開辦亞洲區系列賽，旨在培養新一代的亞洲地區優秀選手。目前在25個國家每年舉辦30場以上的佛度系列賽，橫跨英國、歐陸、南美、中東，和亞洲地區。歷年冠軍包括曾雅妮、Rory McIlroy, Nick Dougherty, Marc Warren, John Parry, Melissa Reid ，和 Florentyna Parker，如今都已是職業巡迴賽的優秀選手。
The 2010/2011 Faldo Series Asia schedule features a record 17 tournaments in 12 different countries including six in mainland China plus others in The Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Bahrain, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia and Thailand.
2010/2011年的亞洲系列賽將再創新高，預計將在12 個國家舉辦17場比賽，包括中國大陸的6場，以及菲律賓、新加坡、越南、巴林、香港、印度、馬來西亞、日本、台灣、印度、和泰國各一場。
