FALDO SERIES CHAMPION TO BEGIN TITLE DEFENCE IN TAIWAN
EIGHTH CHINESE TAIPEI CHAMPIONSHIP EXPANDED TO 54 HOLES

2 May 2013: Ssu-Chia Cheng will begin the defence of her Faldo Series Asia girls’ title when the eighth Chinese Taipei Championship tees off at Sunrise Golf and Country Club on May 22-24. The 15-year-old from Taoyuan County emulated her friend and compatriot Yani Tseng when she triumphed in the Grand Final in China last March.
(佛度盃5月2日訊) 第八屆佛度盃台灣錦標賽將於5月22-24日在揚昇球場舉行，程思嘉將繼續尋求衛冕。這位15歲居住在桃園縣的選手今年三月剛在佛度盃亞洲區總決賽女子組封后，成就直追同胞選手曾雅妮。
Talented Taiwanese golfers aged 12 to 21 will line up in the Faldo Series tournament at Sunrise in Taipei which has been elevated to three rounds and World Amateur Golf Ranking status. 年齡介於12-21歲的優秀台灣選手將齊聚揚昇球場參賽，今年已提升為三回合賽程，成績將列入R&A世界業餘排名。
Five age-group winners – three boys and two girls – will join Sir Nick Faldo at the eighth Asia Grand Final next March. The season-ending event will once again take place at Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen where Cheng recently won her girls’ title and finished tied-second overall. 三男兩女五個年齡組別的冠軍選手將可受邀參加明年三月第八屆佛度盃亞洲區總決賽，於本年度各國賽程結束後立即在深圳觀瀾湖球場舉行，也是程思嘉最近贏得女子組最低桿和總排名並列第二的所在。
Established in 1996, 40 Faldo Series tournaments now take place in 30 countries worldwide with more than 7,000 golfers participating each year. Past winners include Major Champions Rory McIlroy and Tseng. 佛度盃系列賽創始於1996年，目前在全球30個國家舉辦40場系列賽，每年有超過7千名選手參加。歷屆冠軍得主包括曾贏得四大賽的Rory Mcllroy 和曾雅妮。
In September 2013, Faldo will begin taking students at a full-time residential academy for education and golf development in America. The first ever Faldo Series Academy in Casa Grande, Arizona is also home to the Faldo Series USA and marks the next significant step in the programme’s history. 今年9月佛度將帶領學生在美國全天候住宿學院實施教學和培訓，第一所佛度學院設在亞利桑那州卡薩格蘭德，也是佛度盃美國系列賽的發源地，再為賽會歷史締造新頁。
The 2013/2014 Faldo Series Asia schedule features a record 19 tournaments in 15 countries, including four in mainland China, two in India and others in The Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, Brunei, Japan, Pakistan, Indonesia and Thailand. The season will conclude in March 2014 when Faldo hosts the eighth Faldo Series Asia Grand Final at Mission Hills Golf Club in China. 2013/2014年亞洲系列賽再創新高，將於15 個國家舉辦19場賽事，包括中國大陸4場、印度兩場、以及菲律賓、台灣、柬埔寨、越南、香港、馬來西亞、尼泊爾、新加坡、汶萊、日本、巴基斯坦、印尼、和泰國各一場，賽季將於2014年3月第八屆佛度盃亞洲區總決賽結束後落幕。
